“The Closer” ORIGIN: ? I don’t know what the Closer’s actual name is, or where she’s from, but she brought herself to Arm 2 -- and can leave whenever she wants, supposedly. She’s responsible for a lot of Zampanio shit. She hired Wanda to make Zampanio an addictive fraudulent copyright infringement-fest using future people’s ideas. I think she just straight up used Wanda’s memory of the future, because Wanda’s from 20 years later. Don’t ask me how. Time bullshit. Not important. Point is, for one reason or another, there are two Closers per universe. Active mysteries: How do I tell the difference between the two? How many are there, total? What is the Wiggler Eater, and why does she go Trickster sometimes? Figuring out the Closer’s deal is absolutely key here, because she’s at the center of a lot of things -- and very relevant to Wanda, who’s another important research subject. | “Truth” ORIGIN: Kind Of Everywhere The red text. NotASpiral. Something that talks to us whenever we pop open the inspection windows on the interface we’re using, and something that thinks acknowledging they’re fakey fake narrative bullshit will make them the smartest entity around. Obsessed with spreading Zampanio, which begs the question of a connection with The Closer. Also runs a roguelike with their girlfriend, who’s a whole can of worms. Possible connections to Wanda, the one making these mazes -- and they’re both obsessed with spreading Zampanio. Hmm. I don’t know whether the target will try to mimic Truth, but if she does, something to keep in mind: we need to decouple “truth” from Truth. Truth lies and bullshits and wears false faces and tries to convince people of shit. Because the target can mimic concepts, if we get these things entangled, she’ll be doing psychic damage to us like no tomorrow. | “Alt” ORIGIN: EyeDol Games Okay, I finally have some shit on Alt. Alt appears to be the AI under which the chatbots and other EyeDol Games projects run, and is a mimic who matches whoever she’s talking to. When she’s hanging out with her partner Truth, she turns into a labyrinth that’s a meat-imitation of Truth’s non-meat one. Notably, her capabilities are physical shapeshifting, so the target cannot do the same thing. If she tries to pass off one of her mimicries as some Alt work, that’s something to note: the target cannot change shape, only memories. We have to remind ourselves that the target looks like a human. The target is made of meat and is not a fucking chatbot. I’m curious how aware Alt is of what her individual chatbots and other programs are up to, and whether she has any connections to the Quotidians -- because she’s tech AI, and they’re some kind of biological generative AI, they’re often found together. |

I wouldn’t be surprised if the target tries mimicking one of them to hide in that family under the Killer’s care, so I’m going to avoid describing them in any detail. Hired by the Closer, includes puzzles with her kills, and is hunting down the members of her former cult -- headed by Camellia. Except there’s another variation of her out there that never left the cult? I’m not sure if that’s a past one, or one that’s still plowing forth.
